People Specialist

Job Description

• Critical role in shaping company culture and supporting employees • Ensure smooth employee lifecycle • Work closely with People team to create positive work environment • Refine HR policies, optimize HRIS processes, align immigration practices • Maintain employee records, handle personnel paperwork, provide HR-related support • Manage onboarding, offboarding processes • Assist in benefits administration, benefits changes communication • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, company policies • Maintain accurate HRIS data and records, optimize workflow processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • 3-5 years of experience in HR or people operations roles • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail • Excellent communication and trust-building skills • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices • Experience managing immigration cases • Proficiency in HR software and tools (Rippling and Lattice a plus) • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion • Strong program management skill set with ability to measure and iterate • Familiarity with labor laws and regulations across the US, with emphasis on California and NY • Experience in fast-paced, tech-driven environments, preferably startups
