Senior Paralegal, Litigation & Employment
Job Location: Remote
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 a year
Job Description
• Litigation case management: track and monitor active matters, issue legal holds, coordinate with insurance companies, organize and maintain relevant documentation • Prepare legal documents: Lead efforts and assist in the preparation of various legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, subpoena and third party responses, letters, and settlement agreements • Discovery Management: lead efforts to collect, coordinate, review and produce documents and coordinate eDiscovery efforts • Independently manage legal matters, including debt collection, certain copyright infringement claims, service of process documents for litigation and employment matters, and coordinating settlement agreements • Partner with external counsel and internal business teams as appropriate for preparing legal documents and gathering documents • Work with outside vendors such as e-Discovery, e-billing, and matter management software vendors • Collaborate with in-house and external counsel on a wide variety of litigation and/or employment related matters • Perform legal and regulatory research, and provide guidance at the direction of counsel • Track and report on changing laws, regulations, requirements, risks, and enforcement trends • Provide general legal support related to a wide range of other legal
Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate preferred • 5+ years of paralegal experience, prior in-house experience is strongly preferred • Experience in a law firm or in-house legal department setting on litigation related issues • Experience with digital marketing, consulting, and/or services industries is a plus • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to listen and drive results in a team setting • Excellent computer and technical skills with document management programs, e-Discovery tools, and Microsoft Office Applications • Ability to exercise confident and professional judgment and attitude while having a sense of humor • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing environments, including working independently as well as in a team environment • Ability to identify and prioritize workload • High level of initiative and attention to detail
