Staff Data Engineer

Job Description

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for Core Data Infrastructure platform • Optimize processes for operational excellence • Lead and scalable BI and Data Warehousing team • Oversee data warehouse plans aligning with strategic goals • Drive design and deployment of new data models and pipelines • Ensure data quality standards and promote reliable insights • Embrace emerging technologies • Deliver impactful dashboards and data visualizations • Manage SLAs for data sets and processes in production

Qualifications

• Over 5+ years of Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehousing expertise • Proven track record in leading and scaling teams • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills • Hands-on development experience in Python or Java • Expertise in SQL, data warehousing concepts, and big data technologies • Experience with BI tooling like Looker or Tableau • Familiarity with DBT, airflow, and git workflows • Project management experience • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field
