Staff Network Security Engineer

Job Description

• Lead the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, process and procedures. • Responsible for the overall DDoS framework for the Crusoe Cloud Network spanning across Continents. • Develop and implement network security tools. • Produce threat models and assess risk around existing configurations. • Provide subject matter expertise on network security, firewalls and industry best practices. • Manage and maintain network security systems by applying system patches and other periodic maintenance tasks. • Conduct regular security audits against Crusoe’s Global Network infrastructure for signs of vulnerabilities, intrusions, and ensure the efficacy of security measures in place. • Implement security controls, firewalls, intrusion detection systems and other network security measures as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience within Network Security at scale in a production environment • Security certifications are a plus. (CISSP, CCIE, PCNSE, SANS etc) • In-depth knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/SFTP, DNS, SNMP, BGP, QoS, ISIS • Excellent knowledge of Firewalls • Working knowledge of atleast one programming language (Python, go etc.) • Hands on experience in securing hybrid and cloud native infrastructure is highly preferred • Thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks and how they affect architecture designs and reviews • Knowledge of cryptography, including several of the following: encryption, hashing, key management, digital certificates, TLS, HSMs • Demonstrate technical competency in security engineering based on hands-on experience or relevant qualifications • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate within the context of the intended audience, whether that be senior executives or highly technical engineering resources
