Staff Software Engineer, Tech Lead

Job Description

• Lead a team taking Team Management Platform APIs to the next level • Collaborate with partner teams for API integration into various Toast experiences • Champion quality automation and unit testing • Mentor team members • Establish system designs to drive technical roadmaps • Ensure high-quality work delivery • Become an expert in scheduling, shift management, wage calculations, labor forecasting, etc.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java, Kotlin or other object oriented languages • Proficient with databases and data stores (e.g., DynamoDB) • Experience with distributed systems, microservices • Proficient in Software Development best practices • Experience integrating with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch • Excellent cross-team communication skills • Enjoy collaborating with and mentoring colleagues • Passionate about technology and learning new things • Continuous improvement mindset
