Jira-Confluence Developer

Job Description

• Develop software enhancements to Jira-Confluence capabilities to support customer’s needs • Maintain and enhance Jira-Confluence apps to support the Department of the Navy’s integration of workflows and documentation • Create custom Jira-Confluence workflows and reports, ensuring they meet user requirements and are user-friendly • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide effective solutions • Maintain and update Jira-Confluence applications and workflows to improve efficiency and functionality • Ensure all developments are in compliance with Department of the Navy’s cybersecurity standards and protocols • Provide technical support and training to end-users on Jira-Confluence functionality

Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ or IAM II or higher Certification • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret Clearance • 3+ years of experience in Java development, including JavaScript, Java Server Pages, and other programming technologies • Demonstrated expertise in Jira-Confluence • Experience developing in the front end, backend, and middleware tiers • Proficiency in XML and JSON • Knowledge of how to interface with SQL Server • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Software Development certification • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field • Prior experience working with the Department of the Navy or other military/government environments • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
