IT Administrator

Job Description

• Setup and configure Mac, Windows, and Linux laptops for new and existing employees • Track and manage IT assets, ensuring accurate inventory and lifecycle management • Create, manage, and troubleshoot user accounts and permissions across various systems and applications • Serve as the internal helpdesk, providing timely and effective support for hardware and software issues • Manage internal network connectivity, ensuring a reliable and secure network infrastructure • Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT processes, configurations, and procedures • Work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field • 3+ years of experience in IT administration or a similar role • Proficiency in provisioning and managing Mac, Windows, and Linux laptops • Strong understanding of asset management and user account management • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks • Experience in network management, including wiring and configuration • Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including endpoint security and firewalls • Familiarity with productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) • Prior experience as a helpdesk technician or similar support role
