Security Engineering Manager

Job Description

• Partner with engineering and product teams and their leaders to develop short- and long-term security, product, and service strategies including defining quarterly OKRs, and reporting on KPIs in leadership forums • Drive design and implementation of innovative services to improve our Cloud and Infrastructure security posture • Manage the investigation and troubleshooting of security incidents to determine root cause and drive solutions • Hire and mentor talented engineers, enabling career growth • Instrument Cloud infrastructure Security tooling and frameworks (Vulnerability Management, Container Security, Detection engineering/automation) to provide meaningful metrics to measure progress and assess security posture • Involvement in technical design and architecture discussions and help make data-driven decisions. • Be effective and graceful with context switching across various areas within people, process and technology in the same day and showcase steady progress • Ensure uninterrupted operations and meet SLA requirements for Security Systems and Security support tickets

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent. Minimum of 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity and/or security engineering. • 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in large scale public and private cloud environments, creating, maintaining, and improving distributed security services • Capable of leading and motivating a team of engineers in a challenging, dynamic and global environment • As a leader being accessible and available to support the team and leadership is a sought after quality • Experience working with Cloud Native Technologies in any of the top cloud service providers like AWS, GCP and /or Azure. • Previously managed a minimum of 5+ direct reports. • Experience in Security Detection and Response engineering is a big plus • Prior implementation of large scale vulnerability management programs is preferred.  • Knowledge on SBOM, container security is plus. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders across organization and provide guidance on security architecture • Experience presenting technical security content to a large group and leadership.
