Job Location: Manhattan, New York

Salary: $104,000 - $130,000 a year

Job Description

• Build infrastructure for machine learning modeling, partnering with data scientists • Collaborate with data scientists to deploy realtime and batch machine learning models, driving millions of onsite interactions • Contribute to the Times’ Machine Learning Platform to help build efficient real-time algorithms • Build ETL data pipelines, partnering with data analysts • Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience writing production-quality Python • 1+ years of experience building and orchestrating ETL pipelines (e.g. Apache Airflow, DBT Cloud, BigQuery) • 1+ years of experience with SQL • 1+ years of experience with building, transforming and modeling reusable datasets for Machine Learning and analytics use cases • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS) • Familiarity with Git, and CI/CD systems such as Drone or Jenkins • Experience communicating to non-technical stakeholders
