Specialist, Third Party Security

Job Description

• Review vendor procurement requests to ensure accurate inherent risk details are documented • Conduct TPS assessments including review and assessment of due diligence questionnaires, security certifications, policy documentation, and follow-up responses • Collaborate with Vendor Management, TPRM, Legal and Security teams on vendor engagements requiring supplemental security assessments or requirements • Develop close partnerships with internal customers by embedding yourself into the roadmap planning processes for the teams you work with • Support the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team and serve as a TPS team representative during vendor escalations • Oversee the Third Party Issue Management function to ensure timely remediation and business accountability • Review product and technical documentation to identify security risk, and collaborating with business and project leads to design remediation plans • Work with the TPRM team to support continuous improvement of the entire vendor lifecycle • Work with additional Security teams to further mature and integrate a cross-functional engagement strategy

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working in security or technology risk management • Experience with risk management frameworks (preferably in security) to objectively measure risks, monitor risk levels, and track remediation • Experience in validating and evidencing risk remediation efforts • A strong ability to dig into data flows and technical solution designs • Ability to translate security standards out of compliance speak and into functional requirements • Ability to manage a queue against strategic priorities and shows expertise in being able to handle multiple assessments at a time • You are willing to learn and apply processes unique to the challenges at Coinbase • You are comfortable operating on an unpaved road and dealing with ambiguity • Excellent organization and project management skills
