Interconnection Program Manager
Job Location: California
Job Description
• Lead and manage multistate utility-specific interconnection processes • Liaise with utility staff and foster enduring relationships with utility staff and other key stakeholders • Collaborate with engineering and technical experts to ensure projects meet standards • Establish in-depth knowledge of utility-specific interconnection applications, tariffs, standards • Coordinate interconnection study review with internal teams • Implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to company criteria • Prepare progress reports and present interconnection status updates • Support construction and O&M teams in project commissioning • Support engineering in optimizing project design and equipment selection
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, engineering, renewable energy, or related field • 4+ years of experience with renewable energy project management • Strong knowledge of interconnection regulations, standards, and processes • Familiarity with distributed energy resource system components and design • Demonstrated experience interacting with utility staff to drive interconnection outcomes • Strong project management skills, PMP preferred • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project, Procore, and various other construction management tools preferred • Willingness to travel at least 10% • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and a passion for solving climate crisis • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives within and beyond the organization • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements in work, processes, products, and services • Ability to analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions
