Sr Application Security Analyst

Job Description

• Conduct security research to identify new and evolving threat patterns • Mitigate and prevent attacks in collaboration with other teams and vendors • Monitor and investigate known persistent attacks against the network • Investigate methods of attacks and lead security investigations based on inquiries • Manage, customize and configure security tools in collaboration with vendors • Collaborate with other teams responsible for security tools • Work with engineering teams to address vulnerabilities and improve application logs • Provide input on new features and threats based on experience • Mentor others in understanding and monitoring areas with security threats

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT security research and security operation • 5+ years of experience with Splunk • 3+ years of experience in SQL design, development and validation (QA) • Experience with web debugging tools (e.g, Burp or Charles proxy) • Familiarity with programming languages (Java, C, JavaScript, Python, etc) • Ability to work both independently and with related teams • Good written and oral communication skills • Understanding of common web protocols (e.g, HTTP)
