Software Development Engineer 1

Job Description

• Software Engineer 1 on Post Trade Engineering team • Understand modern trading technology from partner API calls to order placement to bookkeeping and instrument life cycle events • Design, develop, and implement scalable and highly available systems by working closely with multiple engineering teams and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Curiosity and a solutions-oriented mindset • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent experience • Passion to excel in Software Engineering with knowledge of at least one programming language: Java, Python, Golang • Strong knowledge of software design patterns • Knowledge of the design and development of REST APIs • Understanding of Test Driven Development and how to write practical unit/integration tests • Experience with CI/CD and automated testing frameworks. • Knowledge of No SQL, SQL, and Stored Procedures such as Postgres, MySQL • Knowledge of Messaging Platforms (AMQ, Kafka) and building Async platforms based on such technologies • Knowledge of Unix and Linux Operating Systems • Knowledge of Scrum and other Agile processes
