Payroll Manager, CloudKitchens - Los Angeles
Job Location: Los Angeles, California
Job Description
• Oversee Payroll Operations: - Manage and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for the Americas region, including the US, Canada, and LATAM. - Utilize Workday for payroll processing in the US, and ADP Celergo for Canada and LATAM. • Payroll Tax Management: - Oversees payroll tax management in the US using ADP SmartCompliance, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. - Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and implement necessary adjustments in payroll processes. • Team Leadership and Development: - Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated payroll team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. - Provide ongoing training and support to team members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. • Compliance and Regulations: - Ensure compliance with all payroll laws and regulations in each respective country. - Maintain knowledge of current payroll legislation and best practices. • Process Improvement: - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations. - Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures, ensuring they align with best practices and organizational objectives. • Reporting and Analytics: - Generate and analyze payroll reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. - Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on payroll metrics and performance. • Vendor Management: - Manage relationships with external payroll vendors, ensuring service levels are met and issues are resolved promptly. - Negotiate contracts and service agreements with payroll vendors. • Problem Resolution: - Address and resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner. - Serve as the point of contact for escalations and complex payroll inquiries. • Collaboration: - Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data and processes. - Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support broader organizational goals.
Qualifications
• Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to resolve customer complaints/misunderstandings in a diplomatic manner. • Previous payroll experience and leading teams • Organizational attention to detail • Experience with strategic data analysis and reporting. • Stakeholder management. • Passionate about process improvement and project management.
