Principal Frontend Engineer

Job Description

• Blitz is a quickly growing and self-sustaining start-up • Seeking a Principal Frontend Engineer to shape a new platform enhancing gaming experiences • Position requires on-site work in Los Angeles from Monday to Thursday, with WFH option on Friday • Responsibilities include analyzing and simplifying the existing codebase, writing efficient TypeScript code, and optimizing application performance

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional front-end development experience • Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries • Strong understanding of advanced JavaScript concepts, including IndexedDB, Proxy, Symbols, and state management libraries such as Valtio • Experience with Rust and its integration with front-end technologies is a plus • Proven experience in developing and optimizing service worker scripts for caching • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to understand and untangle complex codebases • Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams • Experience with performance tuning and building high-performance applications • Ability to mentor and lead junior developers
