Director of Intake, Brooklyn Legal Services

Job Description

• Overseeing various intake systems including in-court housing intake, Benefits Access Plus Outreach, and constituent referrals • Directly supervising intake staff • Assisting with hiring, orientation, and training of new staff • Coordinating ongoing training with emphasis on professional development • Evaluating and improving intake systems' effectiveness • Coordinating intake schedules and calendars • Developing intake systems for compliance with reporting requirements • Training staff in best practices for intake and compliance

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work with people • Prior supervision experience preferred • Excellent problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks with efficiency • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and clients • Experience analyzing process flows and implementing changes to improve outcomes • Excellent communication and organizational skills and technical proficiency • Good sense of humor and willingness to pitch in • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion • Prior legal services experience preferred
