Senior PM Comp Accountant

Job Description

• Review monthly calculations of portfolio manager performance fees • Reconcile monthly workbooks between Schonfeld and the administrator • Coordinate monthly distribution of performance statements to portfolio managers • Review various workpapers (portfolio manager terms, deferred compensation schedule, etc.) • Help oversee the communication and process of year-end compensation for all portfolio managers • Review configurations of any key compensation terms for any downstream systems • Participate in special projects as needed • Assist with monitoring and maintaining appropriate financial controls, policies, and procedures to support existing operations and continued growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting • Strong working knowledge using Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions, count/ sumifs, index match, etc.) • 4-6 years of experience in a compensation function preferred • Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate issues and solutions to different audiences • Demonstrate sensitivity and judgement in handing confidential information • Process and detail oriented with a strong work ethic and team focused attitude • Able to adapt to frequent changes in the business operating environment • Highly organized and self-motivated • CPA Preferred • Working knowledge of Advent Geneva and/or PowerBI (preferred) • Mix in public accounting/buy side experience (preferred)
