Sustainability Data Analyst / Specialist

Job Description

• Ensure seamless integration of data-related tools and processes • Develop expertise in different sustainability data sets and manage their updates, quality checks, and integrations • Explore new sustainability data sets according to data criteria and prototype potential applications • Improve procedures to assess data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and validity and develop metrics to track data quality over time • Translate outcomes and data into compelling visualizations using tools like Tableau, Looker, or ggplot2/Python • Collaborate with other teams on initiatives around data management and utilization • Generate insights on our sustainability model and client portfolios • Support regular updates to the Sustainability Model and identify areas of operational improvements • Proactively seek out opportunities for automation and ways to drive greater efficiency

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-time work experience (ideal candidates may have analytics experience in a field with sustainability applications, e.g. energy analysis, life cycle analysis, sustainability research or consulting, impact analysis, etc. ) • Strong quantitative skills and experience working with moderately large, structured datasets • Familiarity with exploratory data analysis and basic descriptive statistics • Keen on data insights and visualization and familiar with visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.) • Basic knowledge of querying databases and scripting (e.g., SQL, Python) • Interest or experience in database management and data vendor coordination • Passion about environmental and social impact • Keen attention to detail and drive to investigate
