Senior Legal Staff Writer
Job Location: Remote
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 a year
Job Description
• Senior Legal Staff Writer role to support bankruptcy cases and special litigation situations • Monitor court dockets and publish breaking news • Coverage of high stakes complex chapter 11 cases and litigation • Work closely with legal analysts to provide relevant information to Reorg's subscribers • Responsible for drafting and publishing breaking news developments
Qualifications
• JD with a strong academic record • Understanding of and interest in bankruptcy and complex litigation matters and related pleadings • 3+ years experience practicing law in corporate restructuring or clerking for a bankruptcy judge • Excellent written communication skills for a sophisticated audience • Communicative self-starter with ability to work independently and as a team player • Previous publication, journalism and/or newsroom experience is a plus
