Program Manager, Data and Compliance

Salary: $65,000 - $67,000 a year
Job Description
• The Data and Compliance Program Manager will be an integral part of the Opportunity M/W/DBE team, providing vital assistance in the development and application of NYCEDC’s Minority and Women Business Enterprise Program (“M/WBE Program”), with a focus on NYCEDC’s Capital Construction projects • The Opportunity M/W/DBE team partners with NYC city agencies and private partners to deliver on the city’s goals to award $30 Billion to minority- and women-led firm by 2026 and meet a 30% award rate • The Program Manager will report to the Vice President of Compliance. This role will be responsible for day-to-day management of data and compliance activities on NYCEDC’s active contracts, which will be crucial to the corporation’s accurate and timely M/WBE performance reporting • The PM will manage the review payments and awards on EDC projects with MWBE goals and how they feed into the M/WBE compliance system, B2G Now • The PM will also be responsible for performing regular compliance reviews, with a focus on Capital Construction projects, to ensure data quality control and contract compliance • Additionally, this position will also conduct as-needed research on strategies to increase M/W/DBE program compliance and determine guidelines that increase participation and inform corporation policy for M/WBEs
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, Public Affairs and Policy, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Management Information Systems, the Social Sciences, Real Estate, Construction Management or a related field • 1-3 years of relevant experience with M/WBE, Affirmative Action and community economic development programming • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational and time management skills • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerBI, and experience managing and interpreting data • Commitment and passion for business recovery and equitable economic development • Ability to travel as needed (across the five boroughs of New York City) • Ability to attend evening and occasional weekend meetings • New York City residence is required within 180 days of hire
