QA Tester, Interfaces

Job Description

• Embed within Engagement Org, testing UI and player engaging features • Spend bulk of time in Rec Room, using a variety of traditional screen-based devices and VR headsets • Get hands-on testing new features solo or with a squad of QA and/or developers • Participate in shipping tests, providing expertise in weekly ship process • Work closely with Rec Room team, QA, and Developers to develop and action test plans • Work closely with Rec Room team, QA, and Developers to understand and reproduce bugs • Ensure bug database is always up-to-date with high-quality bug reports • Work on special events as needed

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional game or related software testing experience • Ability to learn and understand UI workflows and compatibility issues with form factors • Ability to write and execute test plans with limited guidance • Ability to write high-quality repro steps • Ability to juggle a variety of tasks, and work in ambiguity on complex problems • A methodical and detail-oriented work style • Excellent ability to solve problems, critically think, and apply logic in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to onboard and work remotely that aligns with a West Coast workday
