AVP, Bond Accounting

Job Description

• Manage accounting and reporting for bond investments • Prepare investment disclosures and management reporting for audited financials • Review GAAP 10Q/ K investment disclosures • Prepare quarterly management reporting • Analyze income statement and balance sheet for financial statements • Coordinate timelines and track deliverables for quarterly close process • Collaborate with external auditors • Perform control functions in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 • Perform ad hoc analysis and assist with special projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • 8-10 years of relevant experience • Knowledge in accounting for fixed income securities and loans • Knowledge of SEC reporting for investments • Insurance company Investment GAAP and Statutory reporting a plus • Pro-active, detail oriented, deadline driven • Excellent documentation and analytical skills • Ability to handle close processes and multiple deliverables
