Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

Job Description

• The Finance Department focuses on planning, managing, recording, and reporting all revenue and expense activities of the corporation • The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Unit within the department supports effective and strategic decision making with financial modeling and scenario analysis • The FP&A Analyst will assist in directing and managing the budgets for all internally funded operations, project and program initiatives • This position provides the opportunity to work closely with departments across NYCEDC and Senior Management to develop and implement the Corporation’s financial plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field • 1-2 years of work experience, with a focus on finance, accounting, budgeting, and forecasting • Proficiency using spreadsheet and presentation applications, including Excel and PowerPoint • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills • Keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing needs • NYC residency is required within 180 days of hire
