Software Engineering Manager

Job Description

• Structure and lead teams to ensure productivity and transparent communication • Write well designed, testable, efficient code • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system • Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes and metrics • Provide structure, mentorship, and organization for a global team of engineers • Partner with product leadership to implement continuous improvement, deployment and testing • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in product, design, security, etc. • Located in either New York City or West Palm Beach office • Not available for remote candidates

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer with a proven track record of leading Engineering teams • Leadership experience as an engineering manager or similar role • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming languages and modern software engineering concepts • Experience with organizational design and structure for engineering teams • Expertise with modern, large-scale distributed systems using cloud native architectures • Previous experience in an engineering leadership role within a highly regulated industry • Knowledge of security practices and systems to manage sensitive data • Experience overseeing software testing • Experience working in fintech or financial services • Familiarity with investment banking technologies • Experience with Google Cloud, Python, Snowflake, React, Typescript/Javascript, HTML/CSS, Terraform
