Senior Software Engineer, Video Delivery

Job Description

• As a Senior Software Engineer, Video Delivery, you will play an integral part in building the future of Anime streaming at Crunchyroll. • Ensure customers have fast, reliable delivery of the content they love • Work with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and UX Designers • Mentor the next generation of Video Software Engineers • Champion best engineering practices including testing, code/architecture reviews, and accurate documentation • Reporting to the Engineering Manager of Video Delivery Engineering

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software with a track record for building robust, reliable services and solutions • Experienced with multiple modern programming languages such as Typescript and Go • Experience working with cloud technologies in AWS or GCP • Advanced networking knowledge and familiarity with common CDNs used to deliver video content • Experience designing and implementing solutions for processing large streams of data • In-depth knowledge of HLS and DASH streaming functionality including content steering • Experience in an Agile environment
