Director, Accounting

Job Description

• Supervise day-to-day operations of Accounting (Project Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and Payroll) • Develop and maintain strong financial internal controls • Work with operational managers and other teams within Finance to drive decisions • Implement and develop various business systems such as ERP and automation tools • Direct the management of the monthly closing of financial systems • Monitor and assess analytical tools and reports to enhance financial management • Coordinate ERP platform implementation • Provide leadership and supervision to Accounts Payable and Receivable, Project Accounting, and Payroll operations • Set strategic direction related to areas of responsibility • Recruit, identify, develop, and retain top talent • Evaluate, design, and develop staff skill sets as required • Prioritize departmental goals and projects, providing developmental opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or relevant field • CPA preferred • 10+ years minimum relevant work experience • 5+ years experience in a management role • Experience with ERP implementation preferred (QuickBooks to NetSuite) • Experience with other implementations preferred (AP Automation/Credit Cards/Expense Management/Travel) • Familiarity with Federal Government Regulations preferred • Strong attention to detail and a passion for process improvement
