Director, Mechanical Engineering

Job Description

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of highly skilled mechanical engineers. • Partner with cross functional teams to drive execution and problem solving. • Drive cross function design reviews and process to ensure high quality deliverables from the team. • Collaborate closely with suppliers and JDMs to get the most out of our manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

• Ability to work onsite in the NYC headquarters. • 8 plus years as an engineering leader developing innovative high technology products. • 5 plus years managing highly technical teams. • A strong technical background in mechanical engineering. • Experience developing and launching multiple products to market. • Experience working with JDM manufacturing partners. • Strong written and verbal skills. • Collaboration skills, you easily communicate effectively with diverse audiences in geographically distributed locations. • High emotional intelligence (EQ), you’re aware of yourself and others. • A driven self-starter who thrives in sometimes ambiguous situations.
