Senior Software Performance Engineer

Job Description

• Create and maintain performance tests based on usage patterns.Design test strategies based on application usage models and production load patterns.Understand Auth0 infrastructure and product in-depth, partnering with platform/product engineering teams to dive into performance anomalies, help find root causes and make recommendationsWork closely with platform/product engineering teams to ensure features are being developed with testability in mind.Execute performance tests to validate the system performance, capacity, scalability, and stability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience using Node.js (JavaScript or Typescript), creating, maintaining and automating APIs or Packages. • 3+ years of experience in performance testing distributed systems at medium/large scale. • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, microservice architecture, public cloud technologies and infrastructure (AWS, AWS GovCloud, Azure, SQL, NoSQL, Redis) • Proficient with Artillery, K6, Gatling or similar code-based performance testing tool. • Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Kibana, Datadog, Lightstep, Honeycomb, etc. • You like working on systems that are highly-reliable, maintainable and scalable • You work autonomously but know when to seek help from your team members • You are a good communicator and bring the rest of your team along for the journey
