Senior Platform Engineer (24-062)

Job Description

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable platforms • Work on innovative projects, contribute to the evolution of platform architecture • Ensure the reliability and performance of systems • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes-based deployments in Azure, AWS, and air-gapped/edge environments • Utilize GitOps and Continuous Delivery methodologies • Create CI/CD pipelines and CI/CD pipeline templates • Integrate and manage data streaming and messaging platforms • Monitor and maintain system health • Design and manage databases, ensuring high availability and performance • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services • Implement best practices for security, scalability, and reliability • Provide the best possible developer experience (DevEx) for developers • Guide developer teams in implementing platform components •

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and DevSecOps, with a focus on Kubernetes deployments • Strong expertise in managing cloud and cloud-native services in Azure and AWS • Experience with air-gapped or edge environments is highly desirable, particularly in relation to Kubernetes clusters • Proficiency in GitOps and Continuous Delivery, preferably using Flux CD • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and CI/CD pipeline templates, preferably using Gitlab CI/CD • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and experience in developing API and analytical microservices in Python or Java • Familiarity with Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Postgres, Clickhouse, and Redis
