Database Administrator

Job Description

• Overseeing the maintenance and security measures of the company databases • Creating account data for authorized individuals to access databases • Organizing databases to find important documents quickly • Installing and maintaining the performance of database servers • Developing processes for optimizing database security • Setting and maintaining database standards • Managing database access • Performance tuning of database systems • Installing, upgrading, & managing database applications • Diagnosing & troubleshooting database errors • Recommending & implementing emerging database technologies • Creating automation for repeating database tasks

Qualifications

• Possess an active DoD issued Secret Clearance • Possess a Security+ Certificate • 3+ years experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL • Experience with ETL • Strong knowledge in Linux systems • Experience with database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards • Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling/data warehouses • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Impeccable attention to detail
